The problem
With out comfortable
shoes, we don't strengthen our feet muscles and ligaments.
Indeed! Let’s have a closer look with…
A little bit of anatomy

ANATOMY, YES!

We can see the toes are made of long bones! Each toe has one metatarsal and 3 phalanges (only 2 for the big toe.) And between the bones are many capsules and ligaments.
The big toe and outside of the foot are great for
propulsion,
to push ourselves from the ground, walk, run and jump!
The little toe is more about
reception,
and how to listen to the ground and its information.

And between the bones of the feet, we have many many muscles (you can see the images in the video)!
We want to do a little feet workout, to mobilise and strengthen our muscles and ligaments so then we can stand comfortably.
Exercise in a nutshell
Start bare feet, maybe with a chair or something you can hold. Take some time to notice your feet opening to the ground. Then start sending more weight on one foot.

Step 1: Spread your toes in the air
Don’t hesitate to open your toes to the air, from your big one to your little one!

Step 2: Take some time to land your toes.
Spread your long toes to the ground.

Step 3: Catch something with your toes
You can bend your long toes – almost as if you wanted to catch something (a piece of cloth, a banana, I don’t know!)?
And repeat 10 times with each foot!
Enjoy and keep moving!
